Hay Jes,

Just had a strange though cross my mind after reading your reply. One thing that helps to fill gaps in story plots and such. Instead of having the first episode focusing on Young Emily witnessing her mother's tragic murder, splitting the scenes throughout the series. That way, you can simultaniously build the the climax as well as Emily's origins to make the conclusion even more explosive.

Episode 11 had a very interesting outcome with the wolf's relationship to Emily's past and brought an amazing and very moving twist (for lack of a better term) to the story.

Sorry for bringing this type of idea after you and your team of actors and crew members already spent a great deal of time and effort into this project. i tend to get ideas, even in my own stories, after the overall process creation has been completed. This is probably why i have so much trouble finishing a lot of my stories.

My best wishes go out to you and everyone who took part of Drawn by Pain, and i look forward to seeing this and any other future projects. i very much enjoyed this series and can't wait to see what else is in store.

Thanks for your reply to my message,

Hyea XAN,

Appreciate the thoughts. I certainly do feel like the character could use a lot more screen time (like a 12 hour TV series to fill all the gaps), but to get the overall character arc across in this space I felt the need to skip time many times throughout it (showing childhood all the way through resolution). I think in the feature version of the film you'll find that the gaps are used for emotional effect as opposed to plot. In my eyes I felt it was a more visceral experience than anything else.

That said - I understand and see your point. Thanks much for the thoughts.

i've just finished watching all twelve episodes and i must be completely honest with you.

As a writer i know how it feels to have your work completed and see it in fruition. But if there's anything i've learned in all my years there's one thing that helps bring everything together...patience.

The series seemed rushed. Regardless of constraints due to funding for the project, there were a lot of gaps within the series that prevented it from truely living up to it's potential. But don't look to these words in the negative, this is simply an outlook from an outsider's perspective. In all honestly what you have here is a frame for something great. A very inovative project well worth the time spent. You should look at this as a job well done, but i get the feeling this is only a blossom waiting bloom...

James - it's just a rather cool royalty free track that I found. I used just a few of those as most of the film used original music from composers I met on the web.

What is the piece that features in Episode 2, during the fight? It's a metal piece but that's all I know.

Super lucky they came to the auditions the same night. And best thing was I cast the two people I thought were the strongest actors for the part - just turned out they looked the same. Lucky.
