Hello all! Wanted to give you the quick update on things.

1) Episode 12 (the series/season finale) is coming along nicely but slowly (as it has LOTS of animation and key moments). Of course we wish we could make it faster, but really want to make sure we get it right! In other words – we’re working on it, but for now it’s:

2) As soon as I am finished on Episode 12, I will immediately begin work on the DVD with all 12 episodes together (feature film version with no breaks in it). This will take DBP from the web world of online bingo , video channels and email onto the wide-ish screen of home entertainment systems, and from there we’re getting even bigger. We are organizing a screening in NYC in late September of which you are all invited of course when we have more details.”

3) The Behind the Scenes link on the right has the added links for the videos located on escapistmagazine.com should you like to see the whacky crew behind the movie

4) Finally – The Webby awards were super awesome (we won Best use of Animation – click the video to watch excerpts). Thx to all for voting and giving a damn. As people often ask how they can help more – all we say is blog about us and tell as many people as you can – it makes a big difference. We really do love you guys for making us feel special and can’t thank you enough.

We are proud to announce that Drawn by Pain can now be seen on the Webby Winning ultra popular site escapistmazine.com. On each and every Monday for the next few months – Drawn by Pain will be re released with a new Behind the Scenes Video (sometimes very silly – be warned) for all to enjoy. I invite you to check out their site (As always the high quality versions of all the episodes will be available here).

Secondly- we will soon be screening an hour and a half of Drawn by Pain in NYC at the Big Apple Comic Convention (http://www.bigapplecon.com/Film.htm):

Thanks to you all – we won a Webby People’s Voice Award for 2008! The award ceremony will be next month. We have 4 weeks to think of our 5 word acceptance speech. It should be YOU GUYS ROCK MY SOCKS!!!. Thanks for being there and making something different have a chance. Any ideas for the five word speech? Leave it below!

Welcome to Drawn by Pain if this is your first time here! We just received word that we were nominated for a Webby Award (best use of animation) and we are beyond excited, flattered and happy that someone thinks we are ok. As just two people slaving away on the post production on this thing – sometimes it seems like no one will ever see what we’ve done. We are beyond thankful to all the people who have helped and supported us this far. You guys ROCK!

As for the Webby’s, it’s time for you guys to let them know that you think we are cool too (we hope you do). Please get everyone you know (grandmas are welcome!) to vote for us and let the Webby’s know what you think!

Hello folks,

We have a few interesting events coming up. First, we will be appearing at Comic Con east:

WHEN IS IT:

Friday, April 18 — 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday, April 19 — 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sunday, April 20 — 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

WHERE IS NEW YORK COMIC CON
New York Comic Con is held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. The Javits Center is located at 655 West 34th Street.

If you are interested in helping out, please email us at jeskid@drawnbypain.com and say “I want to help!” (helpers get free t-shirts). We plan on giving out LOTS of flyer’s to introduce Drawn by Pain to the Comic Con crowd (in and around our booth) and could use the help of our awesome supporters. And of course feel free to stop by our booth (2429) if you are attending. We always enjoy seeing everyone.

There is also a mention of appearing (and screening) at the Big Apple Con in June, being featured by our friends over at Blip.tv (above) and all kinds of other great stuff that we will update as they solidify.

Oh and for those that are new to our site – please visit or community and join our mailing list or even (gasp) stop by our store. We’re happy to be able to share what we do and are always glad to make new friends!. And to all those waiting, we are working our butts off on episode 11…It’s coming soon and has a major plot reveal in it!
