The Escapist Magazine and NYC Screening!

We are proud to announce that Drawn by Pain can now be seen on the Webby Winning ultra popular site escapistmazine.com. On each and every Monday for the next few months – Drawn by Pain will be re released with a new Behind the Scenes Video (sometimes very silly – be warned) for all to enjoy. I invite you to check out their site (As always the high quality versions of all the episodes will be available here).

Secondly- we will soon be screening an hour and a half of Drawn by Pain in NYC at the Big Apple Comic Convention (http://www.bigapplecon.com/Film.htm):

When: June 7th 5:45 Pm

Where:
Penn Plaza Pavilion
401 Seventh Avenue at 33rd St.
New York, N.Y., 10001-2062

Admission $15.00

The convention should cover all kinds of geek culture and be a lot of fun. Erica and I will be hosting a Q and A – so feel free to come by, watch the film and be part of the experience!

-Jes

PS: Working our butts off on Episode 12 – gonna be a little bit, but it’s really going to be one of the strongest of the series :)

LOL all good Tom. I’m psyched to hear you like it so far and I plan on making the DVD available to all – though the first run will probably be NTSC – but region free – don’t quote me!!

Wow, I just had to watch all 11 episodes in a row. I totally don’t give sh*t about movies, have lived without a T.V. for about a year until a few months ago and only bought it to be able to play some games now and then. Saw the trailer on escapist and just had to check out. After episode 1 I was scared to continue because it was hard to believe the story would continue to gripe me but it does and I just can’t wait till you finish the last one!

I really hope for you the story is not a reflection of your youth, I’m glad I haven’t got that many daemons to fight in my life but I can imagine if you have it would be quite like this series.

I hope you’ll also provide some high quality (luckily the current quality isn’t bad) dowloadable version (don’t mind if you need to pay). A DVD version will probably never arrive in the ‘outback’ where I live (Mackay, Australia).

Made a small donation in the hope it will help to finish the last straw and sincerely wish you and the whole crew a wonderful career. And pleaasse finish episode 12! I’m glad that there are still a few people out there that actually can make a movie with a real story that really gripes you instead of just a bunch of special effects in a standard plot.

    Jaap

First – thank you so much for the donation – every little bit really does help. Even more so the fact that someone I have never met would do that always make me smile like you wouldn’t believe.

The story is not a reflection of my youth although I think we all have had situations that made us feel trapped and doomed to repeat them.

There is a high quality download which can be found here: http://blip.tv/file/631160 (just cycle thru the episodes). Click on quicktime mov *under get files) and it’s pretty good IMO.

As for the DVD – I’m sure we’ll figure out a way to ship them to down under. Made a lot of friends down there and so it is a priority indeed.

Last – I appreciate the kind thoughts – we have done our very best and just glad some people seem to like it so far. If it brings a career awesome – if not – at least we got to share it :)
