I absolutely love Emily. The fact that she’s an anti-heroine doesn’t cause me to like her any less. Her actions in the second episode seem justifiable to me. If some fucker came up the me with the same attitude, I’d do the same damn thing she did. And she seemed to only go on the offensive when the guy pulled out the knife. What the hell would you do in a situation like that? I’d take him out before he caused me any harm….. I just can’t wait to see this character develop more, I just can’t wait!!! ^^
The way she plays the bait is amazing. it’s almost like you don’t want her to put herself in the situation. Another great episode!
It’s fun to see the character all grown up, wasn’t sure what to expect.
But she sure isn’t the normal “superhero.” She antagonizes and that added alot of depth.
I’m not sure whether I like our (anti)hero yet, but as a character she’s awesome
Here you get to see her character as an adult now, you get to see what her character is like, kinda get a feel for what makes her tick, and sorry for the herooes reference but you get to see her ability in seeing other ppls pain and what happened or how they got it…plus at the end..it seems like she really doesnt want to do what she did to him, like it takes something from her.

Good point Andy. I still see this as an anti-heroine to heroine journey though. So until then Emily Waters is a hero until then
p.s. Jes prove me wrong in the coming episodes!
I am really like the anti-hero idea at the moment, i guess time will tell as far as where it really goes. After all, she didnt really have to kill the guy….but maybe…idk…lol just have to see what happens.

Everyone seems to enjoy the idea that Emily is an anti-hero.. I don’t know if she is so much of a hero as much as a straight up vigilante. She unleashes her own brand of justice which is certainly unforgiving and very permanent. I do find her very interesting though – who doesn’t wish that they could brandish a sword and put the hurt on bad people?
I think she has grown up into something awesome. I think her newfound responsibilty is a good thing to have. That’d be awesome to be able to do what she does.
Fantastic writing, animation, acting, and camera work here.
I thought this episode was funny. When she was teasing around with the guy. lol I also love the transition she made once he pulled out the knife. Straight from joker to “I’m going to kill you”. I loved it.
Excellent episode Jesse.
That’s such a cool bridge! Even cooler ’cause I was there.
This episode really got me into the character. Made me want to know more about her.
With episode one, a great start.
She has really grown up this episode. I know she is supposed to be the hero but she is also kinda the anti-hero because of her dark past and soon dark future. Liked the jump that killed the joker guy.
A great episode, good work Jes
I love how this episode kinda makes you question what Emily’s motives are.
The heroine begins to express herself….but I agree with Levi…where is she going with her actions?
Wow, she turned into a bit of a bitch, huh?
Looks like this gal grew into violent, maladjusted, man hating creature.
If the sexes of the film were reversed, the protagonist would be branded misogynistic psychopath….
As far as animation goes…all I see a bit of doodling after seening way too much of Ralph Bakshi’s work…Been there done that…
The pacing seemed a lot better in this one, coupled with some pleasing music in the background to add to atmosphere.
I will say this, a lot of productions censor themselves, or shy away from certain material. I’m glad so far that this hasn’t.
